What is Konmari?

People often ask me what I do and I used to say, “I’m a Certified KonMari Consultant”. While that is technically true, most of the time it would get me a blank stare or a puzzled look!

Konmari simply refers to Marie Kondo’s organizing method. I am certified to help people through her life-changing process. So, I started referring to myself as a “Marie Kondo Organizing Consultant”, just until Konmari catches on 😉.

During the certification process I attended a conference in New York City with fellow organizers-in-training from all over the world. There were presentations and break out sessions and we even got to hear from Marie herself! After meeting her in person I can confirm that, YES, she is as cute in person as she is on Netflix.

I have been a consultant for over two years now and love it. I find joy in helping people not only organize their home, but also develop their ideal lifestyle and work towards it. As a KonMari Consultant I help others go through the process of decluttering by only keeping what sparks joy!
